Made by SMS Master Saddlers Ideal Saddles in Walsall England in conjunction with Equi-Fit, this saddle is a new take on an old favourite.  Based on NSC's original Advanced Competitor this saddle is beautifully crafted using traditional methods and the very best English Buffalo leather with a modern design to really set it apart.  If you are looking for something that is custom and classic with modern styling cues this saddle is for you.

This saddle has a sympathetic flatter seat for ultimate balance and support for the rider, with moveable blocks so you can get the exact position you love.  The forward cut flap allows for a shorter stirrup length easily, even for riders with longer legs.  It has an equally sympathetic tree and customisable panel for the horse to ensure superior support, comfort and performance. 

The Tree - popular and proven in the NZ market, this English spring tree has an open head and longer tree points allowing for breadth across the trapezius muscles and adequate support for ample clearance over higher withers.  It has a slight curve but not too much, to suit a wide variety of NZ sport horses.  If you liked the original Advanced Competitor you will love this.

The Panel - generous English wool drop panel with a long front and deep rear gusset, all of which are customisable depending on your horse's posture and conformation.

The Leather - we have made this saddle with the best English Buffalo leather as standard for this model.  It feels soft but thick and durable, ideal for its resilience and mouldability.  The cantle, facings and welting colours are all customisable.

The Girthing - three point girthing options, with webbing at the point and balance places, to customise for your horse's ideal balance and their conformation and way of going.

The Ride - flatter seat with a laid back square cantle for the ability to move in the saddle.  The blocks, both knee and thigh, are on velcro so can be easily repositioned depending on the individuals preferred riding position and anatomy.

Special Features - the tree width is adjustable by the owner by half a size, great for those times between fittings, for a small change.  The tree is fixed at manufacture but can be adjusted by Equi-Fit up and down one size from original.  It is recommended that the tree only be adjusted 3 times in its lifetime.

To look after your lovely saddle, a complementary locally made  Equi-Fit leather care kit is included in the purchase price, as well as a luxurious Equi-Fit ride on saddle cover, to stay protected in all conditions. 

Most aspects of this saddle are customisable.  The base price is for the base model and custom options are additional.  There is a five year warranty on the tree and one year on the leather.
